Ladies and Gentlemen.

Scratch that, let’s have a moment of honesty... No “normal” guy reads a blog so this is just for you ladies.

Now the truth is... My attempts at fashion the next several months are going to be painfully pitiful. We just got track suits that are, get this, NEON STINKING ORANGE. As you can see from the pictures I have red/orange/strawberry blonde whatever you want to call it hair. Even for those who know nothing of fashion or heck are even color blind KNOW that this is a big no no. I look like Aslan from Narnia running around. Don’t worry though it gets better, we get to wear them not one, not two, but THREE days a week. I am happy to be able to brighten my little kids lives three days a week by looking like a lion though. They really love it and here is how they let me know...

“Techa Ansee you look like lion, GRR!”

Who could not love that? So lock me up fashion police because this orange track jacket is going nowhere! Alright enough of that, I promise that I will post photos from days where I do not look like a complete weirdo, sound good?

Okay I won’t keep boring you with my random thoughts and will leave you with something I have discovered while living in another country that is completely different than my beloved America. Here it is, GRATITUDE. Boom. I used to think I had an idea about how good I had it but it wasn’t until I stepped into my cold shoebox of a room in China that I really started to understand. Now after the tragedy that has struck Japan that left them without food, water, AND electricity I have once again realized that even here in China I have it really good. I have a warm bed, it may be a plank of wood with a blanket over it but at least I have one. Sure our power goes out about five times a day but for the love at least we have it! I know that I still have a ways to go but everyday I am more and more grateful for what I have. I am grateful for my family, friends, country, and especially my religion. I would be nowhere without the gospel, it is my constant and my everything.

“When you walk with gratitude, you do not walk with arrogance and conceit and egotism, you walk with a spirit of thanksgiving that is becoming to you and will bless your lives.” - President Gordon B. Hinckley
SAS Fun Fact #2: At the beginning and end of each semester we bust out the Martenelli’s and toast to all the great things in our lives as well as the insignificant things.
Peace and Blessings Ya’ll
