Top O' the Mornin to Ye!

Well hey guys! It's me here.  Let me get one thing off my chest before I start. Now I know it's not nice to brag or anything, but...  How stinkin awesome are my friends??  They are genuine pearls. Reading their posts makes me sparkle inside! I am lucky to call them my besties :) Am I right or am I right? Love you girlsss so much.  Anyhoo, a couple of things are in order for today's post.  First of all, if you haven't been wished this by at least one person yet:

HAPPY SAINT PATRICK’S DAY!!!

To be honest, I've never really given a big whoop about St. Patty's Day until this go around.  In past years, my traditional St. Patrick's Day would consist of waking up in the morning and believing it to be a completely ordinary day. The fact that it was St. Patty's Day wouldn't even hit me until I would open the fridge to grab some milk and it would be green!  Thanks, mom.  Besides triggering my memory that it was indeed March 17th, all that the dyed milk would do was make me want to color the other gallons of milk in the fridge. (Which I did. I  found out that yellow milk doesn't look that appetizing).   I would then treat the rest of the day normally.  happysaintfreakinpatricksday - woot.

But today, March 17, 2011, I decided to be different.
I decided to dress up in a ridiculous outfit that makes me somewhat resemble a leprachaun (I mean, the belt, the boots...all I need is Ansley's hair and i could be on a Lucky Charms cereal box).  I also decided to be sweet and bake up a storm of chocolate cupcakes with green frosting and bring them to work with me.  I decided to wish everyone I talked to a Happy Saint Patrick's Day. I even pinched a few people who apparently treat this day as I used to.  It turned out to be super fun; it gave me a reason to celebrate and be festive and wear a smile just because today is "significant". Also, the color green is growing on me.
I love me some Saint Patty.

 Anyways, a quick note about this outfit.  Apparently the whole world treats this day like I used to because I literally went to five different stores to find a St. Patrick's Day shirt and they either didn't have any or they only carried them in XL - XXL.  Usually I would give up.  But this year I was determined to succeed.  I bought this XL shirt and cut up the sides and tied them together.  I can't decide if I look more like an indian or a mint oreo, but I think the overall effect turned out pretty good.  So, lesson learned: when life throws at you obnoxiously large clothing as the only option, cut and tie that puppy up.
And then work it!

In other news, I burnt my tongue. On Rice-a-Roni.  I think you can all agree with me that the tongue is probably one of the worse places to be burnt.  Every time you try and eat something even remotely warm it hurts like the dickens.  Plus the sight of those enflamed little red taste-buds just make me feel sorry for my tongue.  That little sucker has been through a lot.

But can I be honest? I'm a little disappointed in you, tongue.  I mean come on, Rice-a-Roni, really? I thought I had you trained better than that.  Ugh. Way to let me down. Don't worry though, next time we have a face off with Rice-a-Roni, we will cream that poor little spoonful to the point of no return. DOMINATION...I can smell it in the air.

And yes, I just had a lecture/pep talk with my tongue. You'll get used to stuff like this.

Wishing you all the luck and 'appiness that the Irish are accustomed to and so much more;

Til next time,

Fun Fact #4: It was winter of 2010. S.A.S was offtrack at BYUI, and they were all separated. Steph was in Boston, Ans was in Provo, and Sus was in Portland. S.A.S wanted a way to connect to each other, so they pretended they were the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants and mailed each other a notebook full of memories, dreams, proposals, and all that ish.  That book went all across the country multiple times, always warming the hearts of the 3 girls that missed each other so much.

I'm kinda jealous of that book.

        HAPPY SAINT PATRICKS DAY!!
